Mon beau sapin

Biggar  Reeth  Kings Cross  Liverpool Albert Dock  Nant Gwyrthern  Liverpool Anglican Cathedral

Charles Bathurst Inn  Robin Hoods Bay  Whitby  Worton  Gunnerside

…which translates as ‘my beautiful Christmas tree’ – it is the first line of the French version of the English carol ‘Oh Christmas tree, oh woodland tree…’and the German version is ‘ Tannenbaum’  Anyway, with international festive wishes for Christmas and 2012, here are a few of the beautiful trees I’ve seen on my travels of late. Pictures are taken on my camera phone.

Snowy Biggar on the road to Edinburgh

Chopped down and not yet decorated; Reeth tree on the village green

Made entirely of Lego, the tree at Kings Cross Station, London

On the waterfront, the Albert Dock tree in Liverpool

In the Welsh speaking heartland of Nant Gwyrthern http://www.nantgwrtheyrn.org

The amazing Liverpool Signing Choir perform alongside the tree in the Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool

Techno tree; the CB Inn, Arkengarthdale http://www.cbinn.co.uk

Lovely Robin Hoods Bay on the east coast

Twinkling lights on the tree by the donkey steps in Whitby

The diminutive tree on the bench outside the Victoria Arms, Worton, Wensleydale

Glowing tree on the tiny green at Gunnerside, Swaledale

Happy Christmas!
